Democracy or Autocracy?
Democracy or Autocracy?
For those who have questioned my statements about people in a democracy having the right to elect an autocrat but not being able to vote him out, once elected, Donald Trump has confirmed my statements at his most recent rally.
-------------------
"Former President Trump at a Friday event hosted by the conservative Christian organization Turning Point Action urged Christians to vote, saying they wouldn’t have to do it again if they got out there in November and elected him because “everything” would be “fixed.”
“Christians, get out and vote, just this time,” Trump exclaimed to a cheering crowd in West Palm Beach, Fla.
“You won’t have to do it anymore. Four more years, you know what, it will be fixed, it will be fine, you won’t have to vote anymore, my beautiful Christians” he added.
“I love you, Christians. I’m a Christian. I love you, get out, you gotta get out and vote. In four years, you don’t have to vote again, we’ll have it fixed so good you’re not going to have to vote,” Trump said."

If we elect Kamala Harris and decide we don't like her, we can vote her out of office in four years. If we elect Donald Trump, we will be stuck with him, J.D. Vance, or whoever he decides should be our ruler until we have a coup or revolution.
If Trump is defeated, for the second time, the MAGA movement will be blunted, the Republican party will abandon him, and the great American experiment in democracy will endure.
Joe Biden has demonstrated what it means to prioritize patriotism over personal ambition. Kamala Harris is clearly the best-qualified candidate to be President--rationally, intellectually, and emotionally. She exemplifies the principles of democracy and democratic leadership. Her election would represent a step forward for democracy.
There has never been a more important election in the history of the United States of America. Vote as if the future of the nation depends on your vote--it does!
